About American Craftworks

Built With Purpose

American Craftworks was founded by Caleb Myers on a simple belief: the spaces we live in should be built with intention, integrity, and purpose.

Whether it's a custom home, a major renovation, or a specialty project, every build begins with understanding the people who will use it. We believe great projects are not defined by square footage alone. They are defined by how well they support the way people live, gather, work, and create memories.

Built With Purpose is more than a tagline. It is the standard that guides every decision we make.

Our Story

Our path into construction did not begin behind a desk. It began on roofs, installing siding, and working hands-on in the field.

Over the years, Caleb gained experience across multiple trades while taking on increasingly complex projects. From bathroom remodels and independent contractor work to large-scale renovations and custom builds, each project reinforced the importance of craftsmanship, communication, and doing things the right way.

In 2022, American Craftworks was established with a clear mission: to create thoughtfully designed spaces built with lasting quality and uncompromising integrity.

Honest Communication. No Surprises.

One of the most common frustrations homeowners experience during construction is uncertainty. Unrealistic pricing, poor communication, and unexpected surprises can turn an exciting project into a stressful experience.

We believe homeowners deserve better.

Whether you're building a custom home, renovating an existing space, or creating something entirely new on your property, you deserve a clear understanding of the process, realistic expectations, and honest conversations about cost and scope.

Our goal is not to offer the lowest number. Our goal is to provide the information you need to make confident decisions. Trust is earned through transparency, and transparency starts from day one.

Leadership & Standards

Caleb served in the United States Marine Corps as an Ammunition Technician and attained the rank of Sergeant. In the Marine Corps, leadership was built on honor, courage, and commitment. Those principles continue to guide the way American Craftworks operates today.

A simple philosophy from artillery continues to influence every project: Shoot. Move. Communicate.

Communication is clear and direct. Expectations are established early. Standards are upheld consistently. Leadership happens from the front. Caleb remains actively involved throughout the construction process, helping ensure quality, communication, and craftsmanship remain priorities from start to finish.

The Right Partnership Matters

American Craftworks is intentionally selective about the projects we take on.

The best results come from strong partnerships built on mutual trust, shared expectations, and a commitment to quality. We work best with homeowners who value craftsmanship, communication, and long-term value over shortcuts and quick fixes.

Every project is personal. That's why finding the right fit matters to us as much as it matters to our clients.

Rooted In Southwest Missouri

As a Southwest Missouri native, Caleb is deeply invested in the communities along the I-44 corridor between Joplin and Springfield.

Outside of construction, he values faith, family, fitness, personal growth, and continual learning. Those same values influence the way he approaches business, relationships, and leadership.

American Craftworks exists to create spaces that improve the way people live. From custom homes and renovations to outdoor living spaces and specialty projects, every project is approached with the same commitment to craftsmanship, integrity, and purpose.
